Solway Coast: 5 miles (11 mins) with long sandy and often deserted beaches! With the lovely coastal town of Silloth well worth a visit.
Keswick 17 miles (23 mins) The unofficial Capital of the Lake District and is home to outdoor pursuit centres, a marina, many famous restaurants and even boasts its own Theatre by the Lake.
